Some people have reported intermittent problems accessing HeritageQuest and/or ProQuest.
Below are some tips to help remedy the situation that you are experiencing.
These tips are geared towards HeritageQuest Online and ProQuest but are applicable to all of the databases.
- Clicking on the link titled "Outside the Library" you should be redirected to the Offsite Database
login page where you will be asked to enter your library card barcode.
- The address of this page should be this: http://ezproxy.poklib.org/login?url=http://www.heritagequestonline.com.
If this is not the address listed in the address bar, there may be a problem with your system, your
router (if you have one), or your personal or ISP’s firewall.
- You should then copy or type the above address into your browser address bar. This should take
you to the Offsite Database login page. If not, copy or type this address: http://ezproxy.poklib.org/ip and
send the output to techproblems@poklib.org, using the File/Send To feature on your
browser’s menu bar.
